We flew to Denver, then Seattle, and got our baggage much faster than anticipated. Which meant waiting for the rental car and eating lunch in the airport. Inaugural beers and french dip sandwiches -- yumm! The drive through Seattle was gorgeous. We were all completely surprised that the sun was shining, and made our way via the scenic route up to Vancouver. It was nice to not have a strict agenda, and stop all along the way for pictures. Since I do not have photoshop, these images are all from my camera-phone for now.

After checking into our hotel room in the bay of Vancouver (Fairmont) we needed some serious dinner. Steamworks Brewery had great food...and where we were also greeted by a street-beggar. They are BRUTAL in Vancouver! We decided to celebrate big time since it was our first night, and did a bar-tour of Lagers and IPA's until 12:30 AM. With the time change, that was almost 23 hours of being awake, with no naps! Mark and Joel made it through one last bar (in the hotel) while Dave and I ran to bed for fear of falling asleep standing up.

Will post day #2 soon!
